Spring Proposal ideas in NYC

Any season in NYC is beautiful and unique, and each season has its highlights. March and April are associated with spring, sun, outdoors, and blooming. Yet the last two years are unique, but 2021 is more normal compare to 2020. Things are getting better and better. Restaurants, movie theaters, and many other attractions are reopening.

So what are the best spring proposal ideas?

  1.
Central Park.

Central Park is the greatest NYC gem. It can offer so much for your proposal that no other place in the world can do. Another good thing about Central park during spring is that you can always find a good cover from the rain if it happens on your proposal day. You can check my article about proposing in the rain. My favorite proposal spot in Central Park is Dene Summer house. We created an amazing Proposal decorations design for this place. We called it “Premium Light the night.” If you want something more simple, you can always go to Bow Bridge, which is the number one NYC proposal spot. Also, Cop Cot and Wagners cove are famous for proposals and can be very well decorated. Central Park is also notable for Cherry blossom proposals, from late March to early April.

  2. Botanical gardens.

The New York Botanical Garden(NYBG) in the Bronx and Brooklyn Botanical garden(BBG) are gorgeous, especially during cherry blossom. It’s not as convenient to get as in other places, but worth it. My favorite proposal area in the NYBG is Enid A. Haupt Conservatory and in BBG are Cherry Esplanade or the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden

  3. Rooftops.

Any rooftop with a great view of Manhattan is a great proposal idea. You can choose a public or a private rooftop. For public rooftops, The Edge has been the most popular option recently. For the private rooftop, “The Sparkling” is the most popular. Keep in mind that if you want to propose on a private rooftop, it usually cost around $1200 just to rent it for an hour, but it will be exclusively yours for the duration of the proposal. While public rooftops are much cheaper, you just pay a small entrance fee, usually $35-50, but many other people will there during your special moment.

  4. Brooklyn bridge parkBrooklyn bride park proposal

While the Brooklyn Bridge is a beautiful place, I would not recommend prosing there due to very high people traffic. I prefer to have the bridge in the background. Brooklyn bridge park in Dumbo is the best area with Brooklyn bridge view. My favorite proposal spot there is near Jane’s carousel. Another beautiful area is John Street Park, it has a spot with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan bridge.
