Engagement photo shoot with Sam and Lila in Central Park
We started at The Great Lawn. First view that you would see is a wide and vast serene greenery in the city, but the Great Lawn is famous not just for its peacefulness. It is interesting to know that it has been the host place to annual concerts and world-famous performers for a long time such as the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, Diana Ross, Bon Jovi and Garth Brooks. This is the best place for everyone to feel yourself like high-rated star.
Then we continued at Bethesda terrace. Bethesda Terrace Arcade is the heart of the Central Park, designed by Jacob Wrey Mould and created about 150 yers ago. It is arched, interior walkway that hold you to the Mall to Bethesda Fountain and the Central Park Lake. It is good place for wedding photo shooting with interesting history.
The Arcade features a stunning tiled ceiling with more than 15 thousand colorful, patterned encaustic tiles from one of the most popular British Minton Tile Company, which tiles were also originally used on the floors of European cathedrals. Wish you to feel how it to walk there! Bethesda Arcade is the only place in the world where these special tiles are used for a ceiling! But we had a reason to choose that place. The bride told me about her incredible idea to surprise her grandmother by wearing her wedding dress from 1962. She always dreamed about it as Lila said.
She wanted to secretly don the wedding gown that her grandmother Anna wore when marrying her high-school sweetheart 55 years ago. She decided not to tell it her, because Anna`s husband passed away before Lila was born, that she would be wearing the gown until the rehearsal dinner that night. I as a wedding photographer supported this amazing idea and we discuss it lively all time during the engagement photo shoot of Sam and Lila.
It is really risky and stressful present, so what about her reaction, you may ask me. After good work with its couple, the sweethearts invited me to shoot the wedding. So, time will show. But I am sure that all will pass in best way.
